Tim grew up in Bellevue, WA and attended Northwest Nazarene University where he met, fell in love and married his wife Jan. They have two daughters and six grandchildren. While serving the Lord as a teacher and administrator God called Tim into pastoral ministry first as a staff pastor and eventually as a lead pastor. After serving a Nazarene congregation in Mount Vernon, WA for 7 years Tim was invited to come and serve the Hillcrest congregation in 1998. Tim’s passion is teaching God’s Word in a way that the gospel comes alive and becomes applicable to everyday life. He also enjoys building bridges into people’s lives so that through those friendships God’s Spirit can help them see and fulfill His plan and purpose for their life. On a personal level Tim enjoys anything that has to do with his grandkids, spending time at the family cabin on Mt. Hood, playing golf and riding bikes with Jan in their favorite vacation spot…Sunriver, Oregon.
Lynelle has a passion for helping young people become the champions God created them to be. She attended Northwest Nazarene University and later graduated from the University of Colorado with a BA in Psychology. Lynelle has served in volunteer or staff ministry positions within the Nazarene Church for twelve years, focusing on the transforming power of God’s Word to change the lives of ordinary people. One of her favorite life verses is from The Message: It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone. Ephesians 1:11-12.
Julie grew up in Portland, OR, and attended Portland First Church of the Nazarene, where she eventually worked as a secretary for seven years. After attending Northwest Nazarene (College) University for one year, Julie earned her AA Degree in Accounting from Clark College here in Vancouver. She was invited to work at Hillcrest in 2000. Julie and her husband, Lance Luedtke were married in 2003 at Hillcrest. To Julie it is a humbling thing to be surrounded by the Hillcrest Family who exemplify the following scripture. Colossians 3:12-15: “Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.”
